Meet the Team

Miss Catriona

Hello, my name is Catriona – I am the Nominated Supervisor for the Centre. I currently work Monday to Thursdays. I have completed a Bachelor of Early Childhood at Q.U.T.

I am passionate about building quality relationships with all children and their families. The best learning happens in nurturing relationships. The active ingredient in brain development is relationships. Children’s brains develop best when they feel loved and secure, when they experience a warm and calm environment and when people pay attention and respond to their needs.

I am married to Bryan and we have one cheeky son called Harry.

Miss Corina – Co-Director and Educational Leader

As an Educational Leader I aim to provide a warm, caring, safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment. A place where children and their families can share knowledge, aspirations, skill and ideas to develop children’s self-esteem and interdependence assisting them to become confident and capable learners.
I have a beautiful little family with three children who make life so busy but so much fun!

Miss Montserrat – Yungunn

Hello! My name is Montserrat (you can call me Mon!) and I am the Lead Educator in the Yungunn Room(15mths – 2yrs). I have been in Australia for 4 years and I am originally from Spain.

I hold my Certificate III and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. I started working in the Early Childhood Sector here in Australia in 2020 but I have worked with children for over 12 years as a Swim Instructor and a Secondary School Teacher. By the way, I studied Chemistry and two Master’s Degrees in my country of origin because I want to gain as much knowledge as I can as a person!

I love to engage with children, support them during their learning path and encourage them to improve their skills. I am very passionate about helping children in their daily routines. I am an active and sporty person, so I try to share that interest with the children. I usually spend my free time at the beach surfing, catching waves and swimming!

Miss Vicki – Pingin Room

My name is Vicki! I have worked at Rainbow Town since May 2020 and have been in childcare for 15 years. I work full time at Rainbow Town as a Lead Educator in the Pingin Room. I have been in Australia for 16mths and am originally from the UK!

What I enjoy most about my job is the moment when you give a child some new information or show them something for the first time and you can see their little minds trying to process it and make sense of it in their own way. Never gets old! I love to build them up, celebrate their achievements, support what makes them unique and try my nest to prepare them with the life skills and mind set to go out into the big wide world full of confidence.

In my spare time I like to meet up with friends, go walking, camping or spend days at the beach. I’m still pretty new here so very much in awe of this wonderful country’s beauty!

Miss Nat – Kagaru Room

My name is Natalie and I’ve recently moved back to Queensland to be closer to family. I have many years experience in Early Childhood and really look forward to being a part of this wonderful team here at Rainbow Town early Learning Centre!

Miss Bridgette – Buneen Room

Kia Ora, my name is Bridgette. I grew up in New Zealand where I also studied my Bachelor of Teaching and Learning. When completing my teaching qualification, I took the opportunity to teach overseas in London for 6 years, where I worked in social services for children, primary schools and infant centres. This experience allowed me to understand diversity and developed my love of cultural learning and travel. When leaving for home, I made a stop in Australia where I have resided alongside family for the past 9 years and I have to say….I do love Australia. Since living here I have upgraded my qualification and attended Griffith University where I studied my Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education.

The last several years I have worked at Rainbow Town ELC and worked full time as the Kindergarten teacher. My passion for this age group is watching the children develop the necessary skills for school readiness. Not only is preparing children for school rewarding, it provides opportunities to work with a diverse range of families and their children while making strong connections where families and their children feel part of a nurturing and educational community. I believe for children to embrace learning it is essential for them to feel accepted and respected for who they are. Building strong relationships with children is key to a successful early learning experience and to children’s developmental milestones.

When I’m not here at Rainbow Town I love travelling, spending time with my family and friends and of course my fur babies – one cat and two dogs.
